The project is essentially a sustainable development initiative by SKL. The aim is to have a balanced and inclusive impact to the nation, the people and the environment.

REDUCTION IN TRAFFIC

The Sungai Klang Highway is aimed at providing an alternative route from Klang to Kuala Lumpur, traffic on the Federal Highway and also on other main arteries heading into the city.

CONNECTIVITY

The highway will provide direct access to the DUKE highway and the West Coast Expressway (WCE) for better connectivity between people and trade.

EMPLOYMENT

The project give rise to the creation of direct and indirect job opportunities for over 2,000 people.

VENDOR DEVELOPMENT

The project will see the engagement with local vendors and supplies for materials, components and services.

ECONOMIC GROWTH

The project will create a multipler effect for economic growth, mainly in the services, transportation and raw materials sectors.

SELANGOR MARITIME GATEWAY

The project is will link to the Selangor Maritime Gateway, complementing the various initiatives which aim to transform the Klang river corridor into a vibrant economic and communal hub.

ZERO COST TO GOVERNMENT

The project is Privately Funded Initiative (PFI) with an investment amounting to RM 10 bil and will involve Zero Cost to the government.

INCREASED REVENUES

The project yield significant revenue gains for the Government and Local Authorities vis a vis taxes and collections.
